The soothing gel is based on highly purified guaiaretic acid, an active ingredient derived from Larrea Divvaricata. This shrub grows in the arid regions of Mexico and Central America. Its leaves have been used by locals for healing for many centuries. Guiaretic acid is embedded in the matrix of Aloe Vera juice with the addition of a special complex of bio-saccharides, amino acids and lipase inhibitors.
